Police say at least three businesses in the Mount Sinai area were broken into Wednesday night.
Police say an unidentified suspect, who they believe was a man, smashed the glass doors of three Brookhaven businesses – Renzo’s Pizza and Jenny’s Chinese Food on 25A in Mount Sinai and a Dunkin’ Donuts on 347 in Terryville.
Police say the break-ins happened after 1 a.m. when the stores were closed. They say nothing was taken from the pizzeria or the Chinese food restaurant.
Authorities say the suspect stole cash from the Dunkin’ Donuts.
Managers of the Dunkin’ Donuts and Jenny's Chinese Food had no comment for News 12. The owner of Renzo's Pizza says he may increase security and that it cost hundreds of dollars to replace the door.
