Police: Body found near Cupsogue Beach identified as teen reported missing last month
The body was recovered after a teen was swept into the water in the same location while fishing last month. Joseph Rera, 16, of Center Moriches, was reported missing Nov. 6.

4h agoPolice say the body found near Cupsogue Beach Wednesday has been identified as a teen who went missing in the same area last month.
Suffolk police say they were called to the area after 1 p.m. Wednesday. The body was located on Dune Road in Westhampton, near Cupsogue Beach.
The body was recovered after a teen was swept into the water in the same location while fishing last month. Joseph Rera, 16, of Center Moriches, was reported missing Nov. 6.
After days of looking, the Coast Guard later called off a search.
Suffolk police confirmed Thursday that the body was identified as Rera's.
