Police say a bicyclist was mugged by a group of young men at a busy intersection in Inwood.
According to police, five young men surrounded a bicyclist at Bayview Avenue and Nassau Expressway around 7 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the group pulled the man off his bike and then demanded his money and cellphone.
When the victim refused, police say the group kicked and punched him, stole his bike and then took off toward the Redfern Housing developments.
