There is a new push to find the hit-and-run driver that killed a teen in Coram.
Police set up an informational checkpoint to try and get new information from the public.
Days later, the 13-year-old died from his injuries.
The teen's family says Phillips pushed his sister to safety before being hit.
Flyers about the crash were distributed during Wednesday's checkpoint, and police encouraged anyone with information to come forward.
"I just pray and hope that someone comes forward," said Phillips' mother Desira Mack. "Let my son rest in peace finally."
Police say the teens were struck by a dark-colored Chevy Equinox with the model year of 2005 to 2009. They say it likely had damage to the front-end bumper headlight and passenger side-view mirror after the crash.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to an arrest.
