6h agoA Bay Shore man was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured Friday night in Islip, according to authorities.
Police say Aurelio Amaya was crossing Brentwood Road just before 10 p.m. when a Hyundai Elantra struck him.
The driver was uninjured, and Amaya was hospitalized for treatment.
