Suffolk County police made another arrest Monday at a massage parlor along East Jericho Turnpike, a stretch that has seen repeated raids following community complaints.

Police said officers raided a business known as “The Spot” and arrested a 52-year-old woman. She was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession and prostitution.

A man who was inside a neighboring smoke shop at the time said he initially thought police were conducting an inspection when he saw officers enter the business.

“They had like vests on and clipboards or something. I figured they were maybe doing an inspection or something,” he said.

Police say this section of East Jericho Turnpike has been a repeated focus of investigations, largely driven by complaints from residents. According to Suffolk police, massage parlor raids in the area have led to at least nine arrests from September 2025 through Monday.

Other businesses raided in recent months include Jericho Foot Spa, Sugar Pine Spa and Awesome Spa. Police say women ranging in age from 25 to 52 were arrested and charged with at least one count of prostitution.

One neighbor, who did not want to appear on camera and lives behind The Spot, said she has seen people going in and out of the business at all hours.

A sign on the front door of the massage parlor reads “Use rear green door” in bold red letters. News 12 knocked at the rear entrance but did not receive a response.

Another resident, Megan Wojciechowski, said she and her husband recently moved to the neighborhood and were unsettled by the repeated police activity.

“There’s a lot of families that live around here, so as we move into the neighborhood and we’re learning all these things, it’s just a lot of information to take in,” she said.

News 12 reached out to the Town of Huntington to ask whether The Spot has been shut down, whether the owner is facing charges, and what protocols are followed after raids to prevent similar incidents from happening again. The town has not yet responded as of Wednesday night.
