Police arrested a Roosevelt man for allegedly peeping under women?s dresses in a discount store in Baldwin.
Authorities say 52-year-old Mario Molina secretly aimed a camcorder under female customers? skirts while they shopped at the Dollar Tree Store on Grand Avenue, and videotaped them.
?There's [a] special place in hell for people like him,? says Yvette Hayes, of Oceanside.
Police say Molina's alleged spying came to an end when a mother with two children spotted him following her up and down the aisles, armed with a small camcorder. She got scared and called 911.
Gerry Brown, of Baldwin, says the incident prompted her to keep a closer eye on her three daughters.
?You have to be really careful out there,? she says. ?I mean, you really have to watch your girls.?
Following his arrest, Molina was charged with unlawful surveillance. It is a felony that could land the accused Peeping Tom in prison for up to one year, if convicted.
