Service resumes on LIRR's Babylon branch following police activity suspension
Train service on the Long Island Rail Road's Babylon branch has been restored between Valley Stream and Babylon following a suspension due to police activity near Lynbrook.
LIRR officials said to expect delays of up to 40 minutes due to the earlier suspension.
The reason for the police activity is unclear.
Babylon branch commuters also faced delays Monday after a person was struck by a train.
