Police: 85-year-old man killed in Riverhead crash
Police say Patrick Welby was driving an SUV when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Horton Avenue and Reeves Avenue on Wednesday.

an 85-year-old man is dead following a crash in Riverhead.
Police say
Patrick Welby was driving an SUV when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the
intersection of Horton Avenue and Reeves Avenue on Wednesday.
The SUV
was then hit by a dump truck.
Welby was
pronounced dead.
Welby’s passenger, Nora Raughan,
86, and the driver of the dump truck are expected to be OK.
