Suffolk police say the Suffolk Marine Bureau rescued four adults and three children from a sinking boat in the Long Island Sound Tuesday.
Authorities say a person from the boat called 911 from a cell phone before the boat filled with water. According to officers, the boaters were pulled from the sinking Bayliner at around 7:48 p.m. near Old Field Point.
All three children, ages 5, 9 and 10, were wearing lifejackets.
