Suffolk police say a young child was struck and killed by a vehicle in Brentwood Tuesday evening.
Suffolk detectives say the incident occurred on Fulton Street around 6:50 p.m.
Police say a 4-year-old girl was struck by a car and transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Fulton Street between Ralph and Nostrand avenues was closed Tuesday night.
