A 3-year-old girl who was found unresponsive Friday in Malverne has died, according to police.

Malverne police responded around 1 p.m. Friday to Grace Lutheran Church and School, located at 400 Hempstead Ave. They say the child was not breathing at the time.

The girl was taken to a hospital in critical condition. She was pronounced dead on Monday.

There was no word on the cause of death.
