A crash involving three vehicles left three people injured Friday on Sunrise Highway in West Islip.

Police say Dominic Dentici, 31, lost control of his motorcycle and struck the back of a car on the eastbound lanes at around 4:17 p.m.

Police say another motorcyclist lost control while trying to avoid the crash and also struck the rear of the car.

Authorities say Dentici was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the car and the other motorcyclist were hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
