Three people are accused of assaulting and attempting to rob a man in Cedarhurst.

Police say the 68-year-old victim was walking on Bayview Avenue Monday when he was approached by one suspect who demanded his car keys.

When the man refused to hand the keys over, police say a woman hit him in the back several times.

Detectives say the victim yelled for help and the suspects ran off.
