Norwalk man seriously injured in N.Y. crash

Police say Andrew Mruczek hit a utility pole on Long Island Monday night.

A Norwalk man was seriously hurt after crashing his car Monday night, Long Island police said.

Suffolk County Police say Andrew Mruczek, 48, hit a utility pole on Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon, N.Y. around 9:40 p.m.

It is unknown what led to his car swerving off the road. 

Police say Mruczek is being treated at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip.

His 2025 Toyota Camry has been impounded for a safety check.
