Police: 3 killed, including 11-year-old girl, in Holbrook crash

An 8-year-old girl in the vehicle was also taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Three people, including a child, were killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Holbrook, police say.
Officials say Emmanuel Dandrea, 74 of Shoreham, was driving a SUV westbound on Veterans Memorial Highway around 1:20 p.m. when he attempted to make a left-hand turn toward southbound Coates Avenue and collided with a 2002 Honda motorcycle that was traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway.
Police say the motorcyclist, identified as 23-year-old Alaaeldien Elfaham, of Deer Park, and Dandrea were pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the SUV, 11-year-old Alanna Lika, of Holbrook, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she died from her injuries.
