Police are searching for the person who shot and killed a man in Copiague.
The incident happened in front of 70 Court St. at an auto body repair shop Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call just before 4 p.m. that a man had been shot.
When officers arrived at the shop, they found 25-year-old Jewuel Hanson, of Lindenhurst, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Witnesses told News 12 that the gunshots were so loud, some people came out of their nearby offices to see exactly what happened.
A large crowd watched the investigation as people were seen crying and trying to console each other.
Police have not confirmed a motive for the shooting and haven't made any arrests.
They say the shooting appears to have been targeted.
