Police: 2-year-old in stroller fatally struck by car in Patchogue

According to police, the toddler’s mother was also hit, but is expected to be OK.

News 12 Long Island has learned a 2-year-old in a stroller was hit and killed in Patchogue.
According to police, the toddler’s mother was also hit, but is expected to be OK.
Police tell News 12 the incident happened around 6 p.m. Monday on Medford Avenue.
Police say the little girl’s mother, Vilma Centeno, was pushing her daughter in a stroller across the street when they were hit. The girl, Nataly Brito Maraud, was killed.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them.
