Police say two teenagers were injured after a brawl broke out in Oceanside Monday night.
Authorities say the fight broke out between two groups of teenagers in the parking lot of a strip mall on Brower Avenue.
Officials say the attackers arrived by car and knew who they were looking for.
"One group came from the north direction and about five to six to seven approximately came and attacked two males here in the parking lot," says Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick.
When the fight was over, a 16-year-old boy suffered multiple stab wounds. Authorities say an 18-year-old boy was also hospitalized with a broken arm.
Police say they are looking at a couple of possible motives for the targeted attack.
"It might have been over a female. It might have been over a school rivalry. But we're leaning towards the first part of that," says Lt. Fitzpatrick.
Police say the teenage stabbing victim underwent surgery and is in critical condition.
