Police: 2 suspects wanted for robbing Shoprite in Bethpage

Two suspects are wanted for robbing a Bethpage ShopRite on Wednesday night and attacking an employee.
Detectives say a man and a woman tried to steal food from the store on Hempstead Turnpike. The female suspect ran way after being approached by an employee. The male suspect refused to return his items and pushed the employee into a wall.
The female suspect then returned and sprayed the worker’s face with something similar to pepper spray, according to police. Both of the suspects fled from the store.
Authorities say the employee was hospitalized. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
