Police say two pedestrians were killed just hours apart from each other after being hit by cars in Nassau County Saturday night.

Police: 2 pedestrians hit and killed in Nassau County just hours apart
Police say two pedestrians were killed just hours apart from each other after being hit by cars in Nassau County Saturday night.
Officials say the first incident happened in Hempstead, where 31-year-old Israel Lopez-Perez was trying to cross South Franklin Avenue when he was struck at 7 p.m. They say Lopez-Perez died at the hospital.
News 12 is told that Terrence Reid was hit and killed while crossing Linden Boulevard in Elmont about 90 minutes later.
Police say in both cases, the drivers stayed at the scenes.
No charges have been filed.
