Two MTA employees were attacked with a metal scooter on the platform of the Dyre Avenue station at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, police say.
Police say an on-duty train conductor was walking on the platform and saw someone still on the train. He proceeded to tell him the train was on its last stop.
Police say the passenger then proceeded to become irate and swung a metal scooter and hit the conductor in the face. Another MTA employee tried to intervene and was hit in the hand. Both MTA workers were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay.
Police sources say the person responsible is a man in his early twenties. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and black sweatpants.
