Police say a man has been charged for choking a woman and assaulting two officers and a medic who responded to a 911 call.
Lyadell Sutherland hit and choked a woman at a home on Locust Boulevard in Elmont Monday, according to police.
The victim had an order of protection against him.
Two officers and a medic were hurt arresting Sutherland.
They were all hospitalized and expected to recover.
