Two officers were injured while arresting a man at a Bellerose 7-Eleven, police say.

Officials say it happened Tuesday around 1 a.m. on Jericho Turnpike.

Police say Amrit Bhatti was asked to leave the store, but then returned and urinated on the property. When Bhatti attempted to flee, police were waiting.

The suspect then became violent and combative.

Two officers were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
