Two people are facing charges for allegedly stealing a car from Chick-fil-A's Farmingdale restaurant.
Police say they incident happened on May 28 at the Broadhollow Road location. They say an employee left the keys to their Chevy Traverse on a table in the dining area.
Detectives say another employee asked a customer if the keys were his. Police say that the customer said yes and took the keys and then took the car.
Detectives say that customer was Farmingdale resident Jeffrey Dowling, 39, who stole the vehicle with his accomplice, 36-year-old Stacy Basso.
Dowling and Basso were arrested Thursday. Authorities say the two had drugs on them at that time of the arrest. They face grand larceny charges.
The vehicle was found in Melville and returned to the owner.
Basso is being held without bail. Dowling has not yet been arraigned.
