Authorities say two people were arrested for criminal possession of a gun in Roosevelt. 

Police say 24-year-old Hashem Poindexter and 23-year-old Thaila Henderson were parked near Rose Avenue on Friday just before 3:30 a.m. 

Officers say they spotted the suspicious car and that's when they discovered a loaded handgun and two magazines.

Both individuals are facing multiple charges and will be arraigned today in Hempstead.
