Police are searching those responsible for damaging 18 vehicles in Centereach.

Police say vandals smashed windows of vehicles along Stanley Drive, Noel Drive, Wagon Lane West, Tree Road, Norman Drive, Alden Lane and Avondale Drive. They say the incidents occurred over a 14-hour period Thursday.

Authorities say it does not appear anything was stolen from the vehicles. Residents say they are combing through security footage for anything that may lead to a suspect.
