Police say a 17-year-old is critically injured after getting hit by a car while crossing the street in North Amityville.
Police say Carl Dezume was walking across the intersection of New Highway and Pine Road Monday around 9 p.m. when he was stuck.
The North Amityville teen was taken to the hospital for critical injuries.
The 45-year-old driver from Brentwood was not hurt.
