Police: 17-year-old driver charged with DWI after 2 injured in Dix Hills crash

News 12 was told the 17-year-old driver was with three passengers going eastbound on Vanderbilt Parkway.

Police say a teenage driver is charged with DWI following a car crash that seriously injured two passengers.
Police say the crash happened Saturday in Dix Hills around 9:15 p.m.
News 12 was told the 17-year-old driver was with three passengers going eastbound on Vanderbilt Parkway.
About a quarter mile east of McCulloch Drive, the driver lost control of the car and crashed into the woods. Two of the passengers were taken to a hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and another passenger were also treated for minor injuries.
The 17-year-old driver is charged with DWI and will be arraigned at a later date.
