Police say a 16-year-old suffered a serious injury after jumping into a pool with friends in Massapequa Wednesday.

They say he dove into the pool and hit his head on the bottom.

When officers arrived to the scene, the victim was lying by the side of the pool after his friends pulled him out.

He was responsive but couldn't move his body. The boy was transported to the hospital.

News 12 is told he later regained some movement.
