Thirteen families are without a home Tuesday after an early morning fire tore through a Roosevelt building.
Police say 14 fire departments responded to a call at the Nassau Road building around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Fire crews arrived at the building with its upstairs portion of the building's rear apartment engulfed in flames. A car and trailer were also on fire.
Police helped evacuate about 15 residents, while an additional 10 to 15 people were evacuated from nearby homes.
The Red Cross is now helping the several displaced families.
No one was injured. The fire's cause is unknown.
