Police: 13-year-old seriously injured by fireworks in Deer Park

He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital.

A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured by fireworks Sunday in Deer Park.
Police say a group of teenagers was lighting off fireworks around 11 p.m. on Arcadia Drive.
One of the fireworks, described as a mortar type of firework, hit the victim in the face.
He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital.
