A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured
by fireworks Sunday in Deer Park.
Police say a group of teenagers was lighting off fireworks around 11 p.m. on Arcadia Drive.
One
of the fireworks, described as a mortar type of firework, hit the victim in the
face.
He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to
Stony Brook University Hospital.
Anyone with information on the incident, or anyone who knows how the teens got the fireworks
