Police say a car was traveling westbound on Thomas Place when it struck the boy who was crossing the street around 4 p.m.
The boy suffered a leg injury and was taken to the hospital in a helicopter.
Police say no charges or criminality is suspected at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
