A man was hospitalized with serious injuries following a fire at a Middle Island condo complex, police say.

They say they responded to calls of a fire Wednesday around 8 p.m. on Monet Court.

Police say a man was in the home when they arrived and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital.

Firefighters were able to take down the fire within 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
