2h agoA car fatally struck a woman and injured a man Thursday night in Riverhead, according to police.
Authorities say Denise Wack and Lawrence Pressley were walking on Old Country Road when they were hit by a Nissan Rogue heading eastbound.
The two were taken to the hospital and Wack later died from her injuries. Pressley is expected to be OK.
Police say no criminality is suspected. Anyone with information is urged to call (631)727-4500.
