Police: 1 pedestrian fatally struck, another injured in Riverhead
Authorities say Denise Wack and Lawrence Pressley were walking on Old Country Road when they were hit by a Nissan Rogue heading eastbound.

A car fatally struck a woman and injured a man Thursday night in Riverhead, according to police.
Authorities say Denise Wack and Lawrence Pressley were walking on Old Country Road when they were hit by a Nissan Rogue heading eastbound.
The two were taken to the hospital and Wack later died from her injuries. Pressley is expected to be OK.
