Police: 1 killed, 2 injured in Central Islip car crash

Police say Joshua Perez-Rodriguez, of Brentwood, was driving north on Carleton Avenue at around 10:20 p.m. when he failed to stop at a red light and crashed into an SUV.

A car crash Friday night in Central Islip left one man dead and two others injured, according to authorities.
Police say Joshua Perez-Rodriguez, of Brentwood, was driving north on Carleton Avenue at around 10:20 p.m. when he failed to stop at a red light and crashed into an SUV.
He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. His passenger and the driver of the SUV were also hospitalized for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
