A Central Islip man is being held behind bars Friday, accused of driving drunk and causing a deadly crash.
Police say 38-year-old Louis Muicela slammed his Jeep into two cars at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Commack Road in Commack at 4:15 a.m.
They say Karl Njerve, the driver of the first car Muicela hit, died at the scene.
Muicela was treated for minor injuries.
The third driver was not injured.
