Police have arrested a Central Islip man for attacking another man with a machete in Brentwood.
Police say the incident happened in front of a home on Bradley Street late Thursday night.
According to police, Jose Hernandez, 39, and Santos Torres, 42, got into a fight. Torres stabbed Hernandez with a machete. The victim suffered serious injuries.
Torres was charged with assault.
