Hours after Americans spend Thanksgiving filling up on turkey and side dishes, homeowners sometimes face big problems -- making the holiday a lot of work for plumbers.
Roto Rooter field supervisor Luis Senra says he makes holiday house calls to unenthused but thankful residents. He says it's the busiest time of the year for his business.
"I've been with the company 15 years," Senra says of his family. "They know the drill: Holidays come along, daddy's not coming home. Daddy's got to work."
Senra says problems arise when too many people are using a house's plumbing at the same time.
"It's food, it's grease, it's a lot of pieces of vegetables," he explains.
And while Thanksgiving Day is busy, he says business is expected to double over the course of Friday and the weekend.
