A Plainview woman has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, assault and driving while ability impaired for a meth-fueled crash that left a man dead in East Meadow.

Prosecutors say 41-year-old Cassandra Panetta ran a red light near Carman Avenue and hit a vehicle on Aug. 12, 2025.

A passenger in other car, 55-year-old Steven Diamond, suffered cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at Nassau County Medical Center.

The driver sustained a concussion, and another passenger was treated for minor injuries.

Prosecutors say blood taken from Panetta at the hospital revealed the presence of drugs.

She was later taken into police custody on Oct. 17, 2025.

She is expected to be sentenced to four to 12 years in prison on Dec. 8.
