Hundreds of people came together in Plainview Sunday rallying to “break the hate.”
Over 400 people were in attendance to sing together inside the Mid Island Y JCC Auditorium in an effort to build unity between residents of all different backgrounds.
Elected officials and religious leaders spoke to the crowd about the importance of speaking out against hate.
The Mid Island Y JCC was one of several Jewish Community Centers in the region that received bomb threats in February.
