Nassau County officials held a security summit for pharmacists in Bethpage today in the wake of two deadly shootings at Long Island drugstores. Pharmacists were offered security tips from police, who also spoke about what they're doing to help stop drugstore holdups on the Island. Representatives from the manufacturer of the drug Oxycodone also attended the summit. Pharmacists say they're worried for their safety on the job. Six people have been killed in pharmacy robberies in Seaford and Medford over the past year.
