The Nassau SPCA is searching for the person who is responsible for causing harm to a pit bull puppy.
Officials say a person cut off the puppy's ears and one of its legs.
Investigators say the animal, believed to be about 5-months-old, was found back in September. Officials will not reveal where or how the puppy was discovered.
The dog is named 'Miss Harper,' and is in the care of My Pets Vet on West Jericho Turnpike in Huntington.
Officials ask if anyone has information about this animal cruelty crime, that they call the SPCA at 516-843-7722.
