Pedestrian struck by hit-and-run driver in Central Islip

Police say the unidentified man was crossing Carleton Avenue in the crosswalk at South Research Place around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a man in Central Islip.
Police say the unidentified man was crossing Carleton Avenue in the crosswalk at South Research Place around 9 p.m. Sunday.
That’s where police say he was hit by a vehicle that kept going.
The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in serious condition.
