A male pedestrian was killed in Nassau County Monday night.
According to detectives, a 56-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Jericho Turnpike northbound in the vicinity of Nassau Boulevard around 8:45 p.m.
He was struck by a 2020 Honda SUV.
According to officials, the pedestrian was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 59-year-old male driver remained at scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
