In this week's Paws & Pals, Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center presented three dogs looking for their 'furever' homes.
This month, the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center has a special holiday adoption event! All adoption fees for cats and dogs will be waived.
Smokey is 7 years old and 62 pounds. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and heartworm negative. He is happy and playful, always affectionate and tons of fun. He will do best in a quiet adult household as the only pet where he will watch over your family. Smokey is housebroken and well mannered and quite the gentleman.
Dougie is an energetic 7-year-old. He is 64 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. He has a sweet disposition, is super affectionate and is known to be a loving cuddlebug. He will do best as the only pet in an adult household with a 6-foot fenced yard. This beautiful blue eyed boy is housebroken, knows sit and stay, is crate trained and he is excellent to walk on the leash.
Simba! This big beautiful 88-pound boy is estimated to be 5-7 years old. He’s also up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped, heartworm negative. Sweet Simba was picked up as a stray and has been patiently waiting for his family to come and take him home. The shelter says that Simba arrived terrified, and he remains a bit shy and nervous, so he needs a kind and patient human to help him shine to his fullest potential. They say he has already made great strides and continues to blossom making new friends. He will require a few meet and greets, and would do best in an adult household where he is the only fur-baby.
