Some Bronx residents fear parked cars are making the intersection of Waring and Barker avenues unsafe for children at a nearby school.
Many drivers say the cars make it hard for them to see whether children are about to step into the crosswalk. Residents want the intersection turned into a four-way stop, instead of a two-way stop. They say over the years, many minor car accidents have happened at the intersection.
The Department of Transportation?s records only show two accidents at the intersection last year.
