News 12 spoke with Christina LaGrega on Tuesday about her home schooling model that her 9-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son say they are enjoying.
LaGrega, a full-time fitness professional, made their learning space look just like it would if they were inside their own classroom.
Under New York state law, she must follow some guidelines and identify her curriculums. LaGrega says she has been helped by other parents online who have built a community for those who are home schooling.
Her children say they miss their friends but are enjoying the mother/teacher experience.
