The threat of snow this week has road crews on the move across Long Island.
The Town of Oyster Bay is taking precautions.
Crews are stockpiling tons of salt and sand, and the plows are ready to roll.
Supervisor Joseph Saladino says this could be a major storm, but that the town is ready.
“We have over 500 employees at the ready to tackle this storm and be prepared for accumulations of whatever we face,” says Saladino.
Supervisor Saladino says replacement plow drivers will be on standby in case they are needed. He's urging drivers who head out after the snow starts to take it easy on the roads.
