The Piano Man received a special honor from his hometown on Thursday.
The Town of Oyster Bay dedicated a street to Billy Joel and presented him with a key to the town. The street was named Billy Joel Way.
In addition, the town named today Billy Joel Day.
Local officials, veterans and students attended the event, along with Billy Joel.
The Joel Foundation has pledged millions of dollars for music education and humanitarian aid.
It was also announced that Joel has added another show at Madison Square Garden for his 75th birthday on Thursday, May 9. Tickets go on sale Oct. 29.
